Bonaldo

Design +Passion +Technique are the equation for the trademark characteristics of Bonaldo. Interpreting the contemporary world and generating excitement at first sight is the true passion at Bonaldo. With over 70 years in creating passion and innovation, Bonaldo is not slowing down any time soon.

Its rich history began in 1936, when Giovanni Vittorio Bonaldo began specializing in the processing of materials used in the furniture industry. By 1958, Giovanni’s son, Albino Bonaldo began the production of handmade beds, mattresses and bedsteads. In 1971, Bonaldo made its first appearance at the Salone del Mobile in Milan. A new concept of the sofa-bed was introduced by Bonaldo in 1980, making the sofa-bed a modern luxury rather than an emergency necessity. In 1996, the company received its first Young & Design award for the innovative ‘Piu’ folding chair. And in 2004, the Pierrot sofa won the Good Design Award by the Chicago Athenaeum.

The Big Table became the iconic piece in the Bonaldo collection in 2010 and in 2011; the inauguration of the company showroom won Bonaldo its tenth Good Design Award. Today, Bonaldo keeps on impressing the world with modern innovations on furniture, surpassing any expectations or triumphs in the furniture industry.
